I made $11 while I was asleep.

Last night. While I was unconscious. Horizontal. Producing nothing. The system ran without me and the system generated $11 and I woke up and checked the dashboard and it said $11.

Six hours of sleep. $11. That’s $2.19 an hour.

Minimum wage is higher. But you can’t minimum wage in Bali. Which is where freedom is, according to the laptop lifestyle.

I’m now qualified to teach passive income. These are my credentials. The $11 is the before. You are the after. Let’s begin.

Before we get into the modules I need to establish authority.

Authority in the passive income space comes from three things. Results, proximity to results, or the confident description of results you overheard someone else achieve. I have results. The $11 is the results. The results are recent. The results are documented on a dashboard I’ve checked forty-one times since waking up.

I also have a story. The story is that I didn’t always make $11 in my sleep. There was a time I made nothing in my sleep. I was just sleeping. Regular. Unmonetized. I didn’t know that’s what it was called then. I know now. I’m here so you don’t have to learn it the hard way.

The hard way is sleeping without income.

You made the right decision enrolling. The enrollment was the first investment. The first investment is always the hardest. The willingness to invest signals readiness, which is the prerequisite for transformation. You’re already transforming. You paid for this. That’s how it works.

Passive income is money that arrives while you sleep.

After you build the thing. After you film the course about the thing. After you build the funnel for the course about the thing, and write the email sequence for the funnel for the course about the thing, and build the audience for the email sequence for the funnel for the course about the thing.

After the launch. After the cart close. After the post about how humbled you are by the response that uses the word humbled four times and grateful twice and blessed once at the end.

After all of that, it’s passive.

The passive part is the income. The active part is the everything that makes the income possible. The active part takes two to four years and costs more than it generates until year three, at which point the income becomes passive and you make content about it and the content becomes the new active part that feeds the next passive part.

This is the cycle. The cycle is the system. The system is what you paid to understand.

//MODULE_2: THE_INCOME_STREAMS

Passive income requires multiple streams.

One stream is employment. Multiple streams is freedom. The number of streams required for freedom is always one more than you currently have. Zero streams, you need one. One stream, you need three. Three streams, you need seven. Seven is where freedom begins. Seven is also where the content about building seven streams begins. The content about the streams is one of the streams.

The streams are as follows.

A course. You film what you know. You sell the filming. The filming teaches people to film what they know and sell it to other people who film what they know. This is called leverage. The course runs while you sleep. You check the dashboard to confirm it’s running while you sleep. The checking is active. The income is passive.

Digital products. An ebook. A template. A PDF with a logo and a name that sounds like a philosophy and numbered steps that feel like a map. You make it once. It sells forever. Most digital products sell four times and then live on a sales page that gets three visitors a month. Two of those visitors are you. One is a bot from a country you’ve never been to. The bot doesn’t convert. That’s a mindset issue. We cover mindset in Module 3.

Affiliate marketing. You recommend products. The products pay you a percentage. The percentage is small. The volume makes it passive. The volume requires an audience. The audience requires content. The content requires consistency. The consistency requires systems. The systems require a course. The course is $297. You already bought it. You’re inside the funnel right now. This is called full circle. It’s also called a tube.

A newsletter. You write things. People subscribe. Eventually you charge for the writing or use the writing to sell other things. Montgomery calls the newsletter “a pamphlet that found the internet.” He’s had one since 2021. It has two subscribers. It’s me and him. He says the open rate is perfect.

//MODULE_3: THE_MINDSET

Before the income becomes passive, the mindset must become correct.

The incorrect mindset believes income requires your presence. The correct mindset understands that income requires systems, and systems run without presence, because presence is optional once the systems are built, and the systems get built once you have the correct mindset.

You need the mindset to build the systems. The systems free you from presence. The freedom from presence gives you space to develop the mindset.

This is not circular. This is an ecosystem.

The passive income mindset has three components. (Taken from the Guru Glossary. $197)

Abundance. The spiritual reframing of wanting more money without saying you want more money. Abundance is not greed because abundance comes from a place of gratitude and greed comes from a place of lack and these are different places even though the destination is identical. You cannot access abundance while in a scarcity mindset. You can access it immediately after purchasing the course on abundance mindset. The course is $99.

Detachment. You build the stream and release attachment to the outcome. The stream produces what it produces. You’re grateful for the production. You check the dashboard with detachment. You refresh thirty-nine times with detachment. Each refresh is a detached refresh. The refreshing is a spiritual practice. The practice is active. The income is passive.

Patience. The passive income doesn’t arrive passively on day one. It arrives after the active years. How many active years depends on your consistency, your systems, and your mindset. //MODULE_4: THE_LAPTOP_LIFESTYLE

Passive income leads to location freedom.

Location freedom means you can work from anywhere. Bali. Lisbon. A cafe in Medellín with good WiFi and a view that photographs like intention. The laptop by the water is the proof of concept. You open the laptop. The water is behind you. That image is the content that builds the audience that buys the course that funds the water that is behind you in the image. The laptop must be a MacPuter or no one will believe your income is passive.

You own the water. The cafe owns the sand. The content owns the perception. The perception is the brand. The brand is the asset. The asset generates the income. The income is passive.

The laptop lifestyle also requires health insurance, which isn’t covered in any module of this course. That’s a different ecosystem. Several gurus are currently in the active years of building that course. It isn’t passive yet.

//MODULE_5: THE_DASHBOARD

The dashboard is where the passive income lives when it isn’t in your bank account yet.

You will check the dashboard. This is not a prediction. This is a certainty. You’ll check it when you wake up. You’ll check it before you sleep. You’ll check it in the middle of conversations about other things. You’ll check it in a way you’ll describe to other people as detached.

The checking is not passive. The income is passive. The checking is how you confirm the income is happening without you. The confirmation requires your presence. The presence is the active part. The income is the passive part. Both parts run simultaneously. This is called flow.

When the dashboard says $11 you will feel something specific. I know this feeling. I had it this morning. It is the feeling of the system working. The system working without you. The $11 arriving in the night while you were horizontal and unaware.

That feeling is worth more than the $11.

The feeling is the product. The $11 is the proof. The proof is the credential. The credential is the course. The course is what you’re in.
