I don’t know how other writers do their thing.
I never got that memo.
When I sat down to write The Fall of an Angel I thought I was building characters. I had the mythology mapped out in my mind. The hierarchy designed. The system architecture drawn out like an engineer auditing infrastructure before the first line of code gets written.
I knew what each one did. Their functions, their failure modes, their arcs.
What I didn’t account for was the excavation.
When I began writing, I thought “create” meant invent. It doesn’t. Well, to me it didn’t. It meant dig until you find what’s already there and be honest enough to put it on the page without flinching.
There are five of them.
Four brothers. Five angels. Five versions of the same man at different points in his understanding of power, love, consequece, grief, and control.
I didn’t have build them. They are all me

The first one was loved so completely it became a structural problem.
I don’t mean love as in romance. Something much heavier. The kind of love that accumulates. That pulls everything in the room toward it without asking. The kind that makes people orbit you before you’ve said a word, and the system, whatever system you’re operating inside, can’t hold that weight indefinitely.
It corrects.
I’ve watched that happen in real life. I’ve felt the version of it I’m allowed to feel. The version where you walk into a room and something shifts and you didn’t do anything except exist and somehow that’s already too much.
He was made too well.
That isn’t a supernatural concept. That’s Tuesday.
The second one followed every rule.
Every single one. Perfectly. On time. Without complaint. He was the architecture made flesh. The system’s most faithful component. And when the moment came that mattered most, he executed the directive. Obeying everything, whether it seemed wrong or not.
The definition of Heaven’s General. The world runs because he doesn’t blink.
The third one felt everything.
I mean everything. Every frequency. Every weight. Every version of what was happening underneath what was being said. He could translate pain into something survivable. Could take the unbearable thing and find the words that made it land softly enough that the receiver didn’t collapse.
But he couldn’t change the outcome. He could only witness it. Absorb it. Keep delivering the message even when the message was a verdict.
Most of his victories are invisible.
Wars that never started because he found the right word at the right moment. That’s not a gift that gets acknowledged. The thing that didn’t happen doesn’t make the record.
The fourth one became the weapon.
When you become a weapon, it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s incremental. Each directive executed cleanly. Each function performed without variance. Until one day the question of whether there was ever a choice involved stops feeling relevant.
Compliance that deep looks like peace from the outside.
The fifth one wasn’t in Heaven. He was a fallen angel, that kept the operation running.
Heaven disposes their waste, and they expect someone else to clean it up. HE was that somoene. He also had to maintain uptime. Someone had to make sure the system didn’t collapse under the weight of everything that was happening to everyone else. Someone had to stand at the desk instead of the throne and do the math no one else wanted to do.
There’s always that person.
You’ve been that person.

You don’t need to concern yourself with which one I am right now.
What I will tell you is that one of them sits closer to me than I planned when I started writing. One of them showed up on the page and I had to keep going because stopping would’ve meant admitting something I wasn’t ready to admit yet.
One of the most amazing things I’ve discovered, is how writing reveals things. It has taught me much about myself I wasn’t ready to accept, but made me better at my craft, and made me a better person. I’m eager to see what else happens.
I don’t know how other writers go about this book writing business. That was probably in the memo I never got. I thought I was just building a wolrd and some characters. Turned out, I was actually having a conversation with a version of myself that doesn’t have the option to lie.
Gabriel is closest to who I am now.
The rest continue living in the book.
//THE_BOOK
The Fall of an Angel is a 35-chapter Urban Mythos trilogy. Book one is done. It’s being refined. Or edited, polished, I dunno. I don’t speak author yet.
The second book, Hell Followed With Them, has alredy been outlined. This is a story I have carried with me for the better part of 25 years. The first 8 chapters were written with a pink pen on construction paper.
It’s not a religion story. It’s a systems and infrastructure story. Heaven isn’t a kingdom. It’s the Primary Order Layer. Angels aren’t warriors. They’re designations. Hell isn’t a punishment. It’s throughput.
When you meet these five you’re going to recognize at least one of them immediately.
That part is gonna be uncomfortable.
Good luck.

I felt this. That moment when you realize you’re not creating anything—you’re uncovering something that was already there, waiting for you to be ready.
good luck, have fun, d○n't die
